Online Therapy in Texas
Therapy for Busy Women
You’re busy and the thought of finding a therapist, traveling to their office, and getting back to work or the carpool line feels daunting. You already feel like there isn’t enough time for everything you have to do, let alone therapy. However, you know that something needs to change. You want to feel more confident in yourself, take control of your anxiety, and feel less burnt out. You’ve been thinking about therapy for a while and may have even tried it in the past but it wasn’t a good fit. You want a therapist who really gets it and provides convenience and flexibility. You’re in the right place.
Online Therapy is for You
There are several benefits to online therapy. The most beneficial thing is the convenience that online therapy provides. You don’t have to travel on your lunch break through Dallas or Austin traffic to sit for a 45-minute session and then race back to work. With online therapy, you don’t need to arrive early for your session to complete paperwork or sit in a waiting room. You can join your session from the comfort of your home, in the car (as long as you are parked), or from your office. All you need is to be located in Texas, have access to a private space, and be connected to secure internet. Additionally, you don’t have to cancel your session if you are traveling as long as you are still in Texas. Online therapy is especially appealing for my clients who are on the go.
Work with a Specialist
With in-person therapy, you are restricted to the therapists that are in your community. With online therapy in Texas, you can work with a therapist that specializes in your concerns no matter where you live. Whether you live in Dallas or Austin, you can work with someone who really gets it and doesn’t just say that they do. You deserve to work with someone who truly understands what you are struggling with and can help you live the life you want. I consider myself an expert on anxiety, burnout, and self-doubt. While I have presented to thousands of individuals on these topics, it is my own lived experience combined with my education that helps clients feel truly understood and seen.
Online Therapy is Convenient
You might be hesitant to try online therapy as you always have done therapy in person. As someone who is slightly extroverted and values relationships, I was hesitant myself about online therapy. However, I have found that clients care less about how they do therapy (in-person versus online) and care more that they are working with a therapist who really gets them.
There’s robust research on the effects of online therapy when compared to individual therapy. I won’t bore you with the details, but research shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most presenting concerns. There may be times when I will recommend in-person therapy for certain presenting concerns (e.g. suicidal thoughts, substance use, etc.), but for most of my clients, online therapy is a great option. One thing I have noticed with online therapy is that my clients cancel less and are more consistent with therapy. I attribute this to the flexibility and convenience that online therapy provides. And of course, we know that the more you show up to session and do the work, the better outcomes you will experience!
What Is Online Therapy Like?
If you are like my clients, you may have struggled with finding time to take care of yourself, feeling that there is not enough time in the day. Self-care is at the end of a very long list of things to do. Online therapy provides convenience so you can join the session wherever you are.
There’s very little difference between online therapy and in-person therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place virtually through a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing system. All you need is to be physically located in Texas, have access to a private location, and have secure internet. So grab your coffee and let’s chat!
Online Therapy for Anxiety, Imposter Syndrome, and Burnout
I provide online therapy in Texas for motivated and insightful women who experience self-doubt, anxiety, and burnout. I help high-achieving clients let go of the self-doubt and anxiety that keeps them feeling stuck. I only work with clients I think are a good fit for my expertise and clients I know I can do good work with. These clients are motivated and hard-working and they approach therapy in the same way. They are ready to do the hard work to feel confident and more relaxed. If you feel this might be you, I would love to hear from you!
